Singapore Botanical Gardens - 29/08/06

It was a rather trying week, last week, so when the weekend rolled around my dearest took me, armed w/ our cameras and new C girl to the Singapore botanical gardens. It rained intermittently (why does that always happen when we go outdoors?), but overall was a rather pleasant, cool afternoon spent wandering around.

Busy, busy little beetle. It made a rather loud whirring sound when it flies. Almost flew into me a couple of times ^_^; then it would fly to a flower, burrow inside, and then out again on its merry way.:)

When this bud blooms, it would become the violet one seen above, with beetles frolicking. :D

Pretty teal bird, he was hopping along the ground, minding his own business when we came along >D

Girl with Seashell (a pretty, almost life sized statue in one of the numerous gardens. Tho its strange to find a seashell in a pond, methinks. :D
